Malcolm Danvers was the father of Jeremy Danvers. 

Early History

After the death of the prior Alpha, Malcolm contended with his son Jeremy for the rank and title. Ultimately, Jeremy became Alpha, and Malcolm refused to be in a Pack led by his son, whom he hated, and thus left the Pack, becoming a Mutt.

Malcolm was neither seen nor heard from for many years that some in the Pack thought he might have died, but Jeremy always had doubts.

Personality

Malcolm is vicious, depraved, and has no redeeming qualities. He never loved his own son, Jeremy, considering him a mistake and a disappointment for not living up to Malcolm's expectations or example, as Jeremy chose to be his own person rather than someone like his father.

He is conspiring, manipulative, and there is no one he won't kill to get what he wants, including those loyal to him, and he has a sadistic nature as he murdered Philip McAdams and left his head on Elena's bed purely to teach her a lesson about trying to be human and denying her werewolf nature.
